Why people switch to Ariba
Buying heating oil should not be this annoying
You call around and get three different answers
The gauge is under a quarter. One company will not come out for less than 150 gallons. Another quotes a price on the phone that is not the price on the invoice. Nobody will tell you when the truck is coming, so you burn a day waiting on it.
And when the delivery finally lands, the ticket says a number you have no way to check.
One ZIP code, today's real price, done
You enter your ZIP and see the actual per-gallon price for your town. Order any amount, because there is no minimum. The price you agreed to is held for that day and the next.
Every truck carries an electronic meter, and your ticket prints the time the driver started pumping and the time he finished. You pay for the gallons that actually went into the tank.

Our trucks, our drivers, our shop
The discount is not a promotion. It is how we run.
Ariba does not store oil or sit on inventory. We buy direct and move it, and the savings come off the top. These are our own trucks on real New Jersey deliveries.
How the operation works
Six things that decide what you pay
Direct from the terminal
We pick up several times a day rather than storing fuel, so the price can move with the market instead of sitting above it.
Electronic meters on every truck
Your bill comes off a computerized meter reading, not a driver's estimate. If the tank takes less than you ordered, you pay for less.
Time-stamped delivery tickets
Start time and finish time print on every ticket. You know when the driver was there even if you were at work.
We will beat a comparable quote
Got a lower number from another NJ supplier on a like-for-like delivery? Tell us before you order and we will beat it.
No minimum, ever
Most suppliers want 100 to 150 gallons before a truck moves. We do not. Tell us the most you want to spend and we will deliver that.
Automatic delivery at the discount price
Put us in charge of the schedule and you get the discount price on every delivery, even a small one, with no run-out startup charge.

"I called many companies to get a last minute delivery on a Saturday, but to no avail everyone turned me down. (it was 22 degree out) I called Ariba and spoke with Kevin, he assisted me with the rush and did his best to help me with a price I could afford."

"Not often does someone have a "good" experience with their oil company but... this company looks after its customers. When oil prices skyrocketed... they sent a message to customers with a warning and since it was the end of the season, we were able to pause delivery. Customers for life and it was earned."

"Since moving to Sussex county I have used Ariba oil on multiple occasions and now I am making them my go to Company for all my oil needs. I am very happy with the customer service from the office staff like Karen to the drivers that come out to the house. I can always count on them for same day or next morning delivery."

Family-run since 1981, running our own trucks
Ariba is not a broker passing your order to whoever has a truck free. We own the trucks, employ the drivers, and service the fleet in our own shop. When you call at 7am, you are talking to the people who decide the route.
What Ariba does
Everything an oil-heated house needs, from one company
Delivery is the core of it, but the truck is not much use if the burner is down. Ariba services what it fuels.

Straight answers
The questions people actually call and ask
Will the price change between when I order and when you deliver?
No. The price you agree to online or over the phone is locked in for that day and the following day. What can change is the total. If you order 200 gallons and the tank only takes 150, you pay for 150.
We cannot quote more than one day ahead, because we pick up from the terminal several times a day and our own cost moves with it.
What do I do if I am completely out of oil right now?
Place an emergency online order, not a regular one, because regular orders are not prioritized on the route. Then call 973-375-0770 and tell us you are out. Leave a message if the office is closed.
If you cannot wait, buy at least 5 gallons of diesel at any gas station and put it in your tank, then restart the boiler. Diesel is interchangeable with heating oil.
Is there a minimum delivery?
No. Ariba has no minimum. The more you take the better the per-gallon price, so it is worth deciding the maximum you want to spend and ordering that amount. Sometimes it fills the tank anyway.
Will I be charged for more gallons than my tank actually takes?
No. We either charge for the gallons ordered, or we pre-authorize an estimated amount for a fill and then adjust it down once the delivery ticket comes back to the office. We release the difference.
Can you tell me what time the truck will arrive?
Not precisely, and any company that promises a window is guessing. We route deliveries for efficiency, and your position on the route decides the time.
What we do instead: pay online or over the phone so you do not have to be there, and we date-stamp and time-stamp the delivery from start to finish so you know exactly when the driver came.
Do I have to be home for the delivery?
No, as long as the fill pipe is accessible and the tank can signal the driver when it is full. Basement tanks need a working whistle. If yours does not whistle, the tank is full or the whistle needs repair, and we cannot safely fill it. In-ground tanks need to be measurable, so nothing can be built over the opening.
What if I have more than one tank?
Color-code them and tell us the color when you order. Drivers rotate routes, so the same driver will not necessarily be at your house each time. Please also make sure any abandoned tank is plugged.
How do I keep from running out in the first place?
Check the tank weekly and order when you are at a quarter, or at 28 inches or less for an in-ground tank. Before forecast snow is the worst time to discover you are empty, because that is when regular delivery slots sell out and it becomes an emergency call.
Automatic delivery removes the problem, and you get the discount price on every drop.
Cold house? Let's fix that today.
No minimum order, today's price held for the day, and you pay for the gallons that actually go in the tank.
